The Governing Body of Burntwood School is consulting with stakeholders on a proposal to reduce its Published Admission Number (PAN) from 283 to 240 for 2024-25 entry.

The Governing Body would welcome any comments that you would wish to contribute.
Comments on the proposed changes should be submitted to: Kemi Arogundade, Assistant Principal by: Email to firstname.lastname@example.org including the words ‘ADMISSIONS CONSULTATION FOR SEPTEMBER 2024-25 ENTRY’ in the title; or
By post to: Kemi Arogundade, Burntwood School, Burntwood Lane, SW17 0AQ.
It would be helpful if you would indicate in what capacity you are responding (e.g. parent, teacher, governor etc.).
Consultation closes on Wednesday 18th January 2023; all comments should be received by this date.
Burntwood School is an academy school for girls aged 11-18. The school’s Governing Body are responsible for the arrangements for admitting children. Please read our policy below for further details, which includes our admissions criteria.

How to apply for a Year 7 place (September 2023 Entry)
For children born between 1 September 2011 and 31 August 2012
If you wish to apply for a place at Burntwood, you must complete the Secondary Transfer application form for the borough in which you live (your home borough) and select Burntwood as one of your preferences, e.g. if you live in Wandsworth, complete a Wandsworth Secondary Transfer form; if you live in Merton, complete a Merton Secondary Transfer form.
It is very important that you return your Secondary Transfer form to your home borough by the closing date of 31st October.
Applicants refused a place at the school have the right to appeal to an independent appeal panel.
Parents wising to appeal should be visit the Wandsworth School Admission Appeals Service for further information or call the Appeals Service on 020 8871 7554 for a paper form to be posted.
